Faker said he hates losing, but enjoys competing with top players from all over the world.
At the media day of the 2023 World Finals, the press had the opportunity to directly interview the two music groups Hearthsteel and NewJeans as well as the two teams T1 and Weibo Gaming.
Below is the full text of the T1 team captain’s press conference response:
This is the first time you attended a World Championship held in Korea and made it to the finals.
Faker: Playing in the finals in Korea was truly a great experience.
You’ve played a lot of matches in your life, but it seems like your passion for League of Legends has always remained the same.
Faker: I hate losing and it’s really fun to compete with the best players in the world.
It’s been ten years since your first Worlds championship and seven years since your last.
Faker: I got another chance at Worlds.
You refused to pose with your thumbs down after defeating JDG, which is why fans see that you have great sportsmanship.
Faker: After we won the semi-finals, instead of feeling like we defeated them, I felt grateful that both teams played a good match.
You are a legend in this sport and you have global support.
Faker: We were able to make it to the finals because my teammates played very well.
