Team Whales - VCS's savior at Worlds 2023 4
Glory belongs to the Whale Team later this evening.
On the afternoon of October 11, Team Whales (Vietnam’s No. 2 seed) successfully created a miracle in the 2023 World Championship warm-up round against rival BDS from Europe.
All hopes of the VCS audience were shattered after the home team’s humiliating loss to an opponent considered much weaker.
However, GAM’s fall does not mean all hope is lost.
Even though they started with an extremely disastrous game 1 when they were destroyed by Darius in the hands of Adam, Team Whales did not waver and still showed their determination in game 2. There were no faces as green as banana leaves, nor were they.
With careful preparation and the unexpected brilliance of super marksman Artemis, the blue whale team took advantage of the No. 4 seed in the LEC region.
BDS top laner Adam still shines as usual.
Once Adam’s excitement was cut off, Team Whales operated their strategy much more simply.
In the third game, Artemis continued to prove to the entire audience that he is the best bottom lane player in VCS, who is more worthy of the title `super marksman` than Slayder.
After a beautiful make play from Bie, Artemis quickly retracted her feathers, took down the enemy marksman and won the laning phase.
In the 41st minute, the Whale Army wiped out their opponents and destroyed the main house amid the hoarse cheers of commentator Huu Trung.
This is the first time a Vietnamese team has won a large region in a Bo3 match.
If Team Whales does not win this resounding victory, the reputation of the entire VCS region will be affected.
